Compartiendo
Esperanza
This event is for members of the Latinx Community exclusively and is presented in Spanish only. This presentation may not be recorded and confidentiality is of the upmost importance. Please reach out to programs@namikdk with any questions regarding this event.
Sharing Hope
For too long, lack of information and stigma about mental health and mental wellness have been barriers that prevent people in the Black community from getting the support we all deserve. To make it safe and easy to talk about mental wellness, the National Alliance on Mental Illness for Kane-South, DeKalb, and Kendall Counties is proud to be a pilot site for Sharing Hope.
Sharing Hope provides a menu of ‘conversation starter’ videos featuring real people sharing their own experiences, plus facilitator guides and other tools to organize welcoming, safe, and culturally competent “Community Conversations” that take on stigma and stereotypes, led by facilitators that belong to the Black community.
This event is for members of the Black Community exclusively. This presentation may not be recorded and confidentiality is of the upmost importance. Please reach out to programs@namikdk.org with any questions regarding this event.
